My fifth great - grandfather was born in Laprairie, Quebec on January 16, 1740 to Jean Baptiste Laroche and Marie Suzanne Turpin Sandrille. He was one of eleven children that included Marie Clémence

(1727), Jean Baptiste
(1730), Jacques
(1732), Jerome
(1736), Louise
(1738), Nicholas Amable
(1741), Marie Amable
(1743), and Suzanne (
1747). He married Genevieve Gaudin most likely in 1763 at L'Acadia, St Jean, Quebec and passed away there in 1802.
