The father of Mahlon Bodine was my fourth great - grandfather, Abraham, and he was born sometime in 1781 either somewhere in the state of New Jersey OR in Jersey Town, Pennsylvania. He was one of 14 children born to Jacob Bodine and Anna 'Nancy' Catherine (? I don't have a last name for her). His siblings included William (1770), Margaret (1773), Jacob (1777), Catherine (1780), Mary (1782), Elizabeth (1784), Leah (1785), Amy (1786), Martha (1788), Desire (1788), Nicholas (1790), James (1792), and Rachel (1795). He married Zelah Taylor in 1805 at Derry, Northumberland county, Pennsylvania. At some point they moved to Upper Canada and he passed away at Elgin, Upper Canada.Friday 29 March 2013
